Myles Across Canada – One Union Member’s Remarkable Coast-to-Coast Run

Today, IATSE 873 Construction Member, Myles Dininio, embarks on a remarkable feat of endurance, running across Canada, from Newfoundland to Vancouver (and no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke).

Covering roughly 8,000 KM over approximately five months, this epic challenge is the culmination of a goal Myles has been contemplating for more than two decades, inspired by his solo biking journey from Ontario to British Columbia when he was just 18. He will be pushing the limits of resilience and determination as he makes his way coast-to-coast, tackling the country in 60 KM intervals.

Myles is dedicating this endeavour to raising awareness for CAMH (the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health). If you would like to learn more about Myles’ story and why he chose to use his challenge to shine a light on mental health, or wish to donate, you can check out the article here. You can also follow Myles’ progress on Facebook here and Instagram here, where he’ll be sharing updates and insights from the road.

IATSE 873 is proud to highlight Myles as he sets off on this incredible run. We wish him a safe journey and will be cheering him on every step of the way!

“This run isn’t just about distance – it’s about acknowledging how much unseen effort it can take to keep moving forward.”
